Belsyde Country House Bed & Breakfast Linlithgow, is 11 miles from Edinburgh Airport. The exit road from the airport is called Eastfield Road - follow the signs for the M9 Glasgow/Stirling. At the first roundabout go straight over and at the second roundabout take a right onto the A8 (West). Continue along the dual carriageway to Newbridge roundabout. Take the right hand lane at the roundabout and take exit 4 signposted M9 Linlithgow – Stirling/Forth Road Bridge.
Exit Junction 3 of the M9 and take a left on to the A803 and continue into Linlithgow. You will arrive at a roundabout with the Star and Garter Hotel right in front of you. At the roundabout take a right on to Linlithgow High Street and continue along the High Street until reaching the next roundabout Take the first exit sign posted Lanark A706, Rugby Club and Leisure Centre. Continue under the railway bridge, past the Rugby Club on you RHS, then at the next roundabout take the 2nd exit - sign posted Lanark A706 and continue out into the countryside. There is a short straight then a double S bend - the main road then crosses the Union canal with right of way being given to the traffic from Linlithgow. At this point Woodcockdale Farm and a sign for Arn House is on your right. On Crossing the Union Canal the road rises steeply - the entrance to Belsyde House and Belsyde House is approx 500m up on the left. There is a lodge cottage at the entrance and a large set of pillars - sign posted Belsyde House and Farm. Enter through the large set of pillars and continue to the top of the driveway where there is a signpost for Belsyde House on the right hand side. The approximate driving time is 20 minutes but during the rush hours this can take a little longer

On departing the airport join the M8 (East) signposted City Centre and Edinburgh. Exit Junction 4 of M8 and take a left at the roundabout onto the A801 signposted Falkirk and Bathgate. Continue over a series of 3 roundabouts - there will be signs for Linlithgow by this point. At the 4th roundabout where there is only a left or right exit - take a right onto the A706. You will quickly pass a sign for Torphichen and the Bruntonside Restaurant on your RHS then a sign for the A801 Falkirk and Avon Gorge on you left. Do not exit the A706 at any point. Further on you will see a brown sign for Torphichen on your right - from this signpost we are exactly 1.7 miles further on, on the A706. DO NOT TAKE THE ROAD TO TORPHICHEN Half a mile further on, there is a sign for Bowden Fisheries on the right followed by a bad bend then a stone sign for Blowshinne on your right. Slow down at this point as the entrance is 200 meters further on - on the right hand side on a sharp left hand bend. There is a Lodge Cottage at the entrance and a sign for Belsyde House and Farm - turn right at the Lodge Cottage and continue up the driveway to Belsyde House which is on the right. ( Should you miss the entrance and reach the canal you have over shot the entrance by 500 meters. Turn in the entrance to Woodcockdale Farm/Arn House and head back up the incline, the entrance is then 500 m up the hill on your left. From Junction 4 the journey should take approximately 15minutes.

Exit Junction 4 of the M9 and take the 3rd exit from the roundabout onto the A803, sign posted Linlithgow. Approximately 2.4 miles further on you will enter the 30mile limit and Linlithgow town. At the traffic lights turn right, you will then pass under the railway bridge and continue on to the roundabout where you will take the third exit - signposted Lanark A706. The entrance to Belsyde House and Belsyde House is exactly 1.3 miles from this roundabout. There is short straight then a double S bends. On exiting the bends there is a farm entrance on your RHS and the road turns to the left and crosses the Union Canal. Traffic from Linlithgow has the right of way, over the on coming traffic. On crossing the bridge the road rises quickly and approximately 500m further on, is the entrance to Belsyde House and Belsyde House. There is a pretty lodge cottage at the entrance. Turn left - the lodge will now be on your RHS and continue up the private driveway. Belsyde House is the first right off the main driveway.

Belsyde Country House Bed and Breakfasts Linlithgow from By Ferry :: Rosyth Port
From Rosyth take the M90 South over the Forth Road Bridge - on crossing the bridge take the first exit signposted A8000 and A904. At the roundabout take a right onto the A904 and continue on this country road passing through the Newtown Village then on out into the countryside. Do not exit this road as further on there is a T-junction. On reaching the T-junction at the Champany Restaurant turn left – signposted Linlithgow (A801). Continue into Linlithgow and at the roundabout take a right onto Linlithgow High Street. Continue along the High Street to the roundabout and take a left at the roundabout - signposted A706. Continue out to town under the railway bridge, past the rugby club, through a pedestrian crossing and over the roundabout into the countryside - signposted A706 and Bathgate. Approximately ½ a mile on the road crosses the Union Canal. The entrance is 400m up on the left. There is a Lodge Cottage at the entrance and a sign for Belsyde House. Continue up the driveway to Belsyde House and Belsyde House - the entrance is on the right. Belsyde House is 11 miles from the Forth Road Bridge and should take approximately 20 minutes. At rush hour times the bridge can be busy adding approximately another 10 minutes to your journey.
